Experiment #2: Detection

Equipment required: Baby monitors, Cameras, This app, This app or something of similar function, A radio, Measuring tape, Chalk

One consistent thing about Slenderman is that his presence causes static and distortion in the audio of electronic devices. What causes this phenomenon may be due to Sigma radiation, but until I can get my hands on a detector to verify, I have no way of confirming this. Certain proxies have also been seen to have similar if weaker effects; this is not particularly surprising, but due to the uncertainties involved I cannot use them for testing.

Since this experiment is dependant on both his presence and him staying still long enough for me to get my data I have no way of guessing the time frame it will take. Experiment #1 if complete would give me a rough idea but c’est la vie. I can’t wait six months.

Each sighting will have recorded the distance of Slenderman from the devices, the levels of static they emitted and, for the cameras, the angles of view.

The results will be one step further in making more accurate, directional detectors. Eventually I hope to make something approaching the sensitivity of a Sigma detector, even though the only one extant took years of development.

  1. I would really like to know the results of this test.

    1. I need to collate the data first as there's a *lot* of continuous footage to sort through, but as soon as I'm done I'll be sure to give you them. :)
